Owned and managed by the Maggio and Reynolds families, the winery is known for its estate wines. It was a winemaking cooperative at one point in time before the families acquired the estate in 2002. Oak Ridge Winery secures produce from estate vineyards in the American Viticultural Area of Lodi. The area comprises of five hundred acres of vineyards between San Francisco Bay and the foothills of Sierra Nevada. The Mediterranean climate of the region, accentuated by cool sea breeze during evenings and warm afternoons, is perfect for the finest quality of wine grapes. The region is known for some of the best zinfandel wines produced in the world. You can visit the winery on Tuesday through Sunday, between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. The last pour is at quarter to five. The winery is not open to the public on Mondays. In addition to the tasting, you can explore the various steps of winemaking. You can tour the vineyards where some of the vines are a century old, and a few are older.
